Introduction

USA Director: Maria T. Bohle DHM, DCNCamosun College offers the Provincial Welders Training Program. This is a competency based self-paced program, which is designed to build a solid foundation in the basics of all welding processes. The program conforms to industrial standards, practices and procedures and provides graduates with the skills required to meet today's job market. Individualized and personalized instruction provides ample opportunity for one on one discussion on specific applications.

Self paced trwelding aining is divided into three levels:

Certification requires graduates of the training program to complete an additional eight months on the job experience as a welder before receiving Provincial Ministry "B" Level certification
  3. Level A - Training is available to certified "B" level welders and requires approximately two months of training . "The program was so much more than I expected. It would be next to impossible to get a job at welding without this course."

"The course lay out was great and because of the self-paced program and the 'one on one' with the instructor, I was able to complete early and find satisfying employment Without this training it would be impossible to find work in welding."
